In a mood to experiment with your beauty tools? Your flat iron isn’t just used for achieving a sleek and straight look. It can also be used to create effortless, mermaid waves.
This is the perfect style for second or even third day hair and the desired style can be done in less than ten minutes!
For instant waves, start off with dry hair and begin to section your hair into two-three inch strands, depending on the type of waves you want to achieve. Start to braid your hair. The larger the braid is, the larger the wave will be.
Starting at the top of each braid, clamp your flat iron down and work your way down the braid. Do not glide the iron down as if you are straightening your hair. Instead, hold the iron in place for a few seconds at different parts of the braid and continue this step until you’ve reached the bottom of the braid.
Let the sections cool completely and carefully undo the braids. Run your fingers through your beautiful mermaid locks and finish the style with a texturizing spray. Flip your hair over and spritz with hairspray for a maximized volume look that will last all day and look even better the next day! Add a braided headband to tie the style together.
